At Bluepoints Marina, we care about our waters – it’s what defines us. Bluepoints Marina was the first marina in Florida to be named a “clean and resilient marina” by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.

With more than 1,350 miles of coastline, 50,000 miles of inland and coastal rivers and streams, 700 freshwater springs and countless lakes, Floridians depend on water more than any other natural resource. Being out on the water is our way of living and it’s who we are. That’s why it’s so important we do everything we can to keep our waters clean.

For over 15 years, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection has encouraged clean boating through the development of the Florida Clean Marine Program. This program gives members on-site and distance technical assistance and mentoring by other Clean Marinas. The program implements a set of environmental Best Management Practices that are designed to protect Florida’s waterways, which address critical environmental issues such as sensitive habitats, waste management, storm water controls and emergency preparedness.

The Clean Marina designation requires that the marina must have environmental management, marine environmental quality and services that include clean facilities, access to drinking water, maintained docks and grounds and more. Bluepoints Marina is beyond proud to be a part of the Florida Clean Marina Program.
