Bluepoints Marina at Port Canaveral starts erection of Dry Stack Storage Building

After several months of site preparation and pouring foundations and floor slabs, Bluepoints Marina at Port Canaveral has begun to erect the structural steel for its 584 slot Dry Stack Storage Building.  Work at the site has been moving along at a steady pace, with the estimated 6 months erection time for the Dry Stack Storage Building being performed in parallel with the construction of the Service Center, Ships Store and Offices.  Followed closely with the completion of the 26 Wet Slips and 1100 feet of Staging Docks, the entire facility is on track for its targeted opening in January of 2009.

When completed, "Bluepoints Marina will be a premier public access facility serving boater needs in the Central Florida region" according to Keith Smith, General Manager of Bluepoints.

The facility will be able to accommodate vessels up to 45 feet in overall length in it's wet slips, and up to 42 feet LOA inside the rack storage building.  Amenities will include a 3 bay Service Center, fully stocked Ships Store and a restaurant when all phases of construction are complete.
