Bluepoints Marina awarded the designation of :
Clean Marina, Clean Retailer, and Clean Boatyard.
Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Clean Marina Program & The Clean Boating Partnership announces the designation of Bluepoints Marina as a Clean Marina, Clean Boatyard & Clean Retailer.
Bluepoints Marina is the 199th Clean Marina, 31st Clean Boatyard and 10th Clean Retailer in the state. Bluepoints Marina Is The FIRST FACILITY TO ACHIEVE DESIGNATION OF ALL THREE PROGRAM COMPONENTS; Clean marina, Clean Boatyard and Clean Retailer AT THE SAME TIME. It will be the 32nd marina, the 8th boatyard and 4th retailer in Brevard County. Bluepoints Marina adds 584 dry slips and 26 wet slips to the Clean Marina community.

Bluepoints Marina Selects Preferred Service Provider
Bluepoints Marina at Port Canaveral is proud to announce the selection of Marine One Services, Inc. as its' preferred service provider. Marine One Services is an Authorized Mercury Dealer providing warranty services along with parts, engine sales, routine maintenance and repairs. Marine One services all brands and performs additional services such as, sales and service of marine electronics and audio, marine electrical installation and repairs as well as marine hydraulics. |
Lift Truck Operator Certification
Bluepoints Marina ar Port Canaveral is the first marina to ever have each of its' Wiggins Marina Bull Lifttruck Operators certified by Wiggins Lift Company as to possessing adequate knowledge of the Marina Bull and the demonstrated necessary skills required for the operation of the Wiggins Marina Bull. The Operator Certification Program developed by Wiggins Lift Company for Bluepoints Marina at Port Canaveral exceeds OSHA Standards as the program not only covers OSHA Standards but also includes observation of individual operators while operating the Wiggins Marina Bull in its real time operational environment handling boats. |
BLUEPOINTS MARINA at PORT CANAVERAL ENGAGES MARINAS INTERNATIONAL of DALLAS , TEXAS as MARINA MANAGER for NEW FACILITY!
Bluepoints Marina at Port Canaveral announced today the signing of a management contract with Marinas International to become the operator of the Bluepoints marina, currently under construction in Port Canaveral, FL.
Marinas International Management Division, Based in St. Petersburg Florida, with their home office located in Dallas Texas, operates a variety of fresh and salt water marinas throughout the United States and the Caribbean. Kirby Cay Scheimann, a Certified Marina Manager (CMM) is the Managing Director of Marinas International's Management Division. As the director, Kirby will oversee the implementation of Bluepoints Marina's policies, programs and day to day operations, as well as staffing the marina.
"While we interviewed several qualified marina management companies for this project, it became clear to us that Marinas International, and Kirby Scheimann, would be the best fit for our facility. We are looking forward to a long and successful relationship" proclaimed Harry Bergman, President of First Republic Corporation of America, the parent company of Bluepoints, based in New York City.
"The construction of Bluepoints Marina is great news for boaters from all over Central Florida and the Space Coast" stated Scheimann. "This beautiful facility will house over 500 boat slips that will remain in the "for Rent" market. Marinas International is dedicated to bringing the highest level of customer service for our Bluepoints Members.
The foundations have all been poured, and the erection of the Dry Stack Storage Building is currently underway. Completion is scheduled for January 09, but is currently running ahead of schedule. "Bluepoints will have a brand new Ships Store, Restroom & Bathhouse Facilities, Fish Cleaning Stations, the Works" Scheimann added.

Bluepoints Marina at Port Canaveral starts erection of Dry Stack Storage Building
After several months of site preparation and pouring foundations and floor slabs, Bluepoints Marina at Port Canaveral has begun to erect the structural steel for its 584 slot Dry Stack Storage Building. Work at the site has been moving along at a steady pace, with the estimated 6 months erection time for the Dry Stack Storage Building being performed in parallel with the construction of the Service Center, Ships Store and Offices. Followed closely with the completion of the 26 Wet Slips and 1100 feet of Staging Docks, the entire facility is on track for its targeted opening in January of 2009.
When completed, "Bluepoints Marina will be a premier public access facility serving boater needs in the Central Florida region" according to Keith Smith, General Manager of Bluepoints.
The facility will be able to accommodate vessels up to 45 feet in overall length in it's wet slips, and up to 42 feet LOA inside the rack storage building. Amenities will include a 3 bay Service Center, fully stocked Ships Store and a restaurant when all phases of construction are complete.

| Bluepoints Marina at Port Canaveral is proud to announce that ground has been broken for a brand new, public access for rent marina, in the Port of Canaveral. W & J Construction Corp. of Rockledge Fl. is the general contractor supervising the construction. The design team, consisting of Coastal Systems International, TLC Engineering, Stephen Snow Architecture, Bellingham Marine and Marina Resource were instrumental in guiding the owners through the development and permitting process. The facility, being built to be capable of withstanding 150 MPH wind loads, will have a completely enclosed rack storage building with a capacity for 588 boats up to 42 feet in length. Additionally there will be 26 wet slips available, each with a boatlift capable of accommodating a vessel up to 47 feet LOA, and weighing a maximum of 50,000 lbs. Coupled with a three bay service center, a fully stocked ships store, fueling availability and a restaurant, Bluepoints Marina at Port Canaveral will soon become the premier marina facility in Brevard County. |
